การขัดเงา (Polishing)
การขัดเงา (polishing) คือกระบวนการลบรอยขีดข่วนบน case และ bracelet โดยใช้สาร abrasive และล้อขัด — ลดความหนาของ case 0.03–0.08mm ต่อครั้ง การขัด 3 ครั้งขึ้นไปลดราคารับซื้อ 10–15% สำหรับ modern Rolex และ 25–35% สำหรับ vintage เพราะลบ chamfer และเปลี่ยน finish เดิม
ความหมาย
Polishing เป็นกระบวนการที่ใช้:
- Abrasive compound — สารขัดเฉพาะ (Cape Cod, Polywatch สำหรับ DIY; โรงงานใช้ industrial grade)
- Wheel buffing — ล้อหมุนความเร็วสูง
- Hand work — ขัดด้วยมือสำหรับ detail
แต่ละครั้งจะลบ:
- Case: 0.03–0.08mm metal removal
- Bracelet: ลด link thickness 0.02–0.05mm

1. Chamfer (เหลี่ยม) หายไป

3. Bracelet stretch increases
