Are entry-luxury watches (Tag Heuer, Tissot) worth selling?
Entry-luxury watches in Bangkok 2026 sell but at low ratios — Tag Heuer Carrera/Aquaracer 35–48% of MSRP, Tissot PRX 28–42%, Longines Hydroconquest 32–45%, Hamilton Khaki 30–42%. Major dealers sometimes decline due to thin margins. Better channels: verified Facebook Marketplace, Auction House online lots, Chrono24 — or just keep wearing if you still use it.
Why ratios stay low
Tag Heuer / Tissot / Longines / Hamilton / Oris sit in the "entry luxury" tier with structural pre-owned characteristics:
- Heavy new supply at AD — Tag Heuer and Tissot regularly discount 15–25% at Authorised Dealer, so MSRP isn't the effective price
- First-watch buyers prefer new — fresh buyers don't mind waiting for AD; pre-owned competes thinly
- Thin dealer margin — a Tag Heuer bought at THB 35,000 has to sell at THB 45,000 — THB 10,000 margin doesn't justify dealer time
- High service cost vs value — Tag Heuer service at THB 15,000–22,000 on a THB 45,000 watch = 33–49% of resell value

Better channels than dealers
1. Verified Facebook Marketplace + LINE OpenChat
- Post in "Watch Thailand", "นาฬิกามือสองไทย"
- Typical sale 60–75% of MSRP (30–50% higher than dealer)
- 2–8 week sell time
- Fraud risk — use bank escrow or public meet + Service Centre verification
2. Auction House Thailand online lots
- Monthly online auction for <THB 200,000 lots
- Seller fee 12–15%
- Hammer typically 55–70% of MSRP
3. Chrono24 international
- Listed prices 65–80% of MSRP
- Fee 5–7% + transaction + escrow fees
- 4–12 week sell time, chargeback risk exists
- Best for Oris, Tag Heuer Monaco with international market
4. Just keep wearing
If resale ratio is <40%, the THB 15,000 you'd net from selling a THB 28,000 Tissot PRX probably isn't worth it. Wearing it out is more rational.
Bangkok dealers who accept entry luxury
Not every dealer takes these; those that do:
| Dealer | Brands accepted | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Thai Watch Market | Tag Heuer, Oris, Longines (THB 50,000+ minimum) | Within meaningful band |
| Pixiu Watch (Pathumwan) | All listed brands | Slightly lower prices |
| PJ-Watch (Silom) | Tag Heuer, Longines | Good |
| Mall buyers Siam Paragon, EmQuartier | All brands | Lowest ratios |
| Pawn shops | Accepted but very low | 20–30% only |
Vintage Tag Heuer exception
Pre-TAG Heuer (1980s–1990s) like:
- Heuer Autavia 1163
- Heuer Carrera 3147
- Heuer Monaco 1133
- TAG Heuer Super Professional 980.001
are collector items running 100–300% premium over original MSRP. Niche market — always route to auction.
Bottom line
- Dealer offers under 40% MSRP → try Facebook Marketplace + LINE OpenChat first
- Full box and papers + good condition → Chrono24 has upside
- Vintage → Auction House or specialist
- Watch still gets worn → keep, don't rush sale
Send photos via LINE — we tell you straight whether selling makes sense or you should keep wearing.
