The 116500LN carries the strongest scarcity premium in the Thai Rolex market. Produced from 2016 to 2023 before being replaced by the 126500LN at Watches & Wonders 2023, the reference now occupies the "modern discontinued" segment that collectors price at a premium.

White panda dials trade about ฿90,000–฿145,000 above black dials in comparable condition (WatchGuys puts the gap at $3,000–$5,000 on almost every comparable listing). That is the reverse of the 2017–2019 era, when black carried the premium.

Like the wider pre-owned market, the 116500LN peaked in early 2022, then fell hard through 2023 as the 126500LN was announced and grey-market supply loosened. It has moved sideways since late 2024. 116500LN Authenticity Checkpoints
- Cerachrom tachymeter bezel — Scale deposited in PVD platinum produces a warm-white reflection. The painted-coating fakes circulating Bangkok in 2024–2025 show less depth and a flatter matte sheen
- Sub-dial proportion — The three sub-dial diameters relative to the main dial sit at exactly 1:3.4. Fakes commonly run slightly small or slightly large
- Caliber 4130 — In-house chronograph movement with column wheel and vertical clutch. Côtes de Genève on the bridges must be deep and consistent
- Pusher action — Pushers must click firmly and the reset action snaps both hands back to 12 cleanly. Fakes commonly reset slowly or with stutter
The panda dial's black sub-dials use a deep matte black. High-grade 1:1 fakes sometimes use insufficient pigment density, producing visible tonal inconsistency under loupe.
