Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Prices in Bangkok by Reference — September 2026

When people say "Royal Oak" they usually mean the 41mm steel Selfwinding, but the family also takes in the 39mm Jumbo Extra-Thin and the chronograph, and prices run several times apart. The table below is what we expect a full-set example in good condition to clear for in Bangkok as of September 2026.

Reference Size / material Bangkok pre-owned range Detailed page
15400ST (2012–2019) 41mm / steel ฿880,000–฿1,180,000 Royal Oak 15400ST
15500ST (2019–2022) 41mm / steel ฿1,110,000–฿1,400,000 Royal Oak 15500ST
15510ST (current) 41mm / steel ฿1,330,000–฿1,860,000 —
26240ST (chronograph) 41mm / steel ฿1,780,000–฿2,570,000 —
15202ST "Jumbo" (discontinued 2021) 39mm / steel ฿2,950,000–฿4,350,000 —

Where the numbers come from: the 15500ST and 15400ST figures are from our own reference pages, revised in September 2026 (WatchCharts market value and Chrono24 asking prices). The 15510ST, 26240ST and 15202ST come from Stories to Watch's Royal Oak price guide (July 2026) plus WatchCharts summaries. Sterling figures are converted at 1.35 US dollars, then to baht at ฿32.5 per dollar, and cut by about 10% from asking to clearing. These are estimates, not records of Bangkok transactions. The 26240ST and 15202ST ranges rest on a single source, which is why they're wider.

Not in the table:

  • 16202ST "Jumbo" (launched 2022, caliber 7121) — the 2026 sources we found disagree too widely (roughly $70,000 to well over $150,000) for us to publish a range yet
  • 15450ST (37mm) and 15300ST (39mm, the 15400ST's predecessor) — we don't have pricing we trust enough to publish; send photos on LINE and we'll price the individual watch
  • Royal Oak Offshore — a separate family with a different case and buyer base, not covered here

Which Reference, and Why the Prices Differ

1. Current versus discontinued. Among the 41mm references, newer means dearer in 2026: the in-production 15510ST sits at the top, then the 15500ST, then the 15400ST. That is the opposite of the Nautilus, where the discontinued reference commands the premium. The main reason is that authorised-dealer waiting lists are still long, so anyone who wants the current watch now has to buy it pre-owned.

2. Movement. The 15400ST runs caliber 3120 (about 60 hours of power reserve); the 15500ST and 15510ST use caliber 4302 (70 hours, 28,800 vph). Some buyers pay for the newer movement; another group of collectors still prefers the long-proven 3120.

3. Dial detail. On the 15500ST, the date window cuts one row out of the Grande Tapisserie pattern; on the 15400ST it doesn't. Detail-minded collectors choose the 15400ST for exactly that reason, even though it trades below the 15500ST in 2026.

4. The Jumbo is a different tier. The 15202ST is 39mm, around 8mm thick, runs caliber 2121 and is the closest thing to the original 1972 Royal Oak. It was discontinued in 2021 and trades at several times the price of the 41mm watches.

5. Chronograph. The 41mm 26240ST sits between the time-only 41mm references and the Jumbo.

For a first Royal Oak, the 15500ST is the most sensible starting point: the newer movement for less than a 15510ST, and easy to resell. If you prefer the older dial layout and want to spend less, the 15400ST is a good choice. The 15202ST suits someone who wants the Royal Oak closest to the original and plans to keep it.

Royal Oak Price Movement 2024–2026

These are the median figures used on our reference pages:

Period 15500ST 15400ST
April 2022 peak ฿1,856,000 ฿1,783,000
December 2024 ฿1,264,000 ฿1,095,000
June 2026 ฿1,230,000 ฿1,070,000

Both are about 34–40% below their 2022 peak. Most of the fall came in 2022–2023, and prices have held broadly flat since late 2024.

What the Thai Market Cares About

A Thai authorised-dealer warranty. Watches bought through a Thai AD fetch more, because the next owner can claim warranty and book servicing in-country. Overseas papers still sell, usually for less.

Box, papers and spare links. A Royal Oak with box, warranty card and all its bracelet links sells faster and for noticeably more than one without. Missing links are easy for a seller to overlook; buyers always check.

Polishing. The Royal Oak alternates polished and brushed surfaces across the case and bracelet. Independent polishing that softens the edges takes a real bite out of the price. Documented servicing at an authorised centre in Bangkok protects it.

Fakes seen in Bangkok. What our inspectors check first:

  1. Grande Tapisserie — squares deep with sharp edges, aligned with the hour markers
  2. Dial logo — the 15500ST and 15510ST carry an applied AP logo, the 15400ST a printed one; some recent fakes of the newer references still use a printed logo, which gives them away immediately
  3. Date window — sits flush with the dial pattern, never raised or skewed
  4. Integrated bracelet — meets the case without gaps; the chamfers on each link sharp and even
  5. Movement through the caseback — caliber 3120 or 4302 with fine Côtes de Genève and perlage
