Pre-Owned Breitling in Bangkok — The Short Version
Breitling is one of the most accessible Swiss brands in the Bangkok pre-owned market. Between roughly ฿100,000 and ฿230,000 you can buy an in-house, COSC-certified chronograph, which is a specification most brands cannot offer at that money.
Breitling also has a trap that is sharper than most brands': the same collection name covers watches with the in-house B01 caliber and watches with an ETA/Valjoux movement, and it covers case sizes the market wants alongside sizes it has moved on from. Land on the wrong side of either line and you pay a similar price for a watch that resells for considerably less.
A Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 (AB0138241B1A1) lists in Bangkok at ฿185,000–฿230,000, median ฿205,000. A Superocean Heritage 57 (A10370121B1S1) runs ฿165,000–฿205,000, median ฿185,000.

The 2017 Dividing Line
Breitling went through a major rebrand under Georges Kern, CEO since 2017, repositioning from "aviation chronograph" to "modern luxury sport." The Thai pre-owned market prices straight along that line.
- Pre-2017 references — Navitimer 01, the older Chronomat B01 — depreciate sharply, because the design reads as dated to a 2026 buyer
- Post-2018 references — Navitimer B01 43, the Premier collection — draw noticeably more interest
For a buyer that cuts both ways. A pre-2017 piece is genuinely cheap if you like that design and intend to keep it. If you expect to sell within three years, it is the group that will cost you most.

B01 or ETA/Valjoux — Where Buyers Lose Money
This is the most important section on the page. Breitling puts the same collection name on watches with very different movements.
The Breitling B01 is an in-house chronograph caliber, COSC-certified, built around a column wheel. References running it clear 10–15% better than their ETA/Valjoux-based equivalents in the Thai market.
How to tell before you pay:
- Read the full model name. If "B01" is in it — Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43, Premier B01, Chronomat B01, Avenger B01 — the movement is in-house.
- If "B01" is absent, assume it is not, until proven otherwise. The Navitimer Automatic 41 (A17326) is neither a chronograph nor a B01, which is why its median sits at ฿165,000 against ฿205,000 for the Navitimer B01 43.
- If the case back is transparent, look for the "B01" and "COSC" rotor engraving with consistent Côtes de Genève finishing.
The gap between those two watches is about ฿40,000 at the asking price. On the way out it widens, because the percentage the market pays differs by another 10–15%.
Case Size — the Thai Market Wants 41–43mm
The 2026 Thai sweet spot is 41–43mm. Older Breitling references at 46mm and 48mm read as oversized now, and dealers apply a standard 8–12% discount to anything 46mm and up.
The consequence is stranger than it sounds. The Navitimer B01 46 has a median of ฿215,000 against ฿205,000 for the Navitimer B01 43 — ฿10,000 apart, on watches that were much further apart at retail. The 46mm looks like better value going in, and takes that difference back when you sell.
If your wrist genuinely carries 46mm and you plan to keep the watch, the big references are the best specification-per-baht on the table. If you are unsure, take 42mm or 43mm. The Navitimer B01 43, launched in 2022, is the size Breitling downsized specifically to fit Asian wrists.
Service — Breitling's Real Advantage in Thailand
Breitling has a service centre in Bangkok, at Siam Paragon. Servicing stays in the country.
That sounds unremarkable until you compare it. A pre-owned Hublot in Bangkok has to ship to Singapore for every overhaul, which means freight, transit insurance and a much longer wait. With Breitling you walk into Siam Paragon.
The measurable effect on price: a piece with a recent official service from the Breitling Service Centre carries a 4–6% premium on the buy side. Always ask to see the service invoice, and if the watch in front of you has no service history at all, treat the first overhaul as a cost you will carry and negotiate accordingly.

What the Dealer Paid — Your Negotiating Room
Bangkok dealers pay Breitling sellers 65–75% of the market range. Run that back through the table above and the gap you are negotiating into becomes visible:

The right-hand column is 65% of the market low through 75% of the market high, rounded to the nearest thousand. You will not claw back that whole spread — it covers authentication risk, months of carrying cost and the shop's fixed overhead. But knowing it exists is why opening below the sticker is normal practice here rather than an insult.
Five Things to Check Before You Pay
1. The slide rule bezel (Navitimer)
The Navitimer's rotating bezel carries a printed logarithmic slide rule. Turn it through a full rotation and confirm it moves smoothly and consistently, then examine the scale itself. On a genuine piece the figures are sharp and evenly spaced; counterfeits print the scale too softly. This is the first place a Navitimer super-clone gives itself away.
2. The bracelet — Rouleaux or Pilot
Breitling bracelets have a distinctive construction: the Rouleaux uses rolling links, the Pilot bracelet uses 7-row links. On a genuine bracelet the link click is smooth rather than gritty. Flex the whole bracelet and listen to it.
The current Chronomat, from 2020 onward, revives the 1984 original and brought the Rouleaux bracelet back with it — the main reason that reference draws strong pre-owned interest.
3. Chronograph pushers
The B01 is a column-wheel chronograph, and the pushers have a specific tactile signature: crisp and decisive. Most counterfeits use cam actuation, which feels mushier and shallower under the finger. Start and stop the chronograph several times before you decide.
4. The COSC certificate — the paper everyone loses
Breitling ships the COSC certificate separately from the warranty card, and most owners never filed the two together. A complete set of box, warranty card and COSC adds 8–11% on the buy side.
So if you expect to resell, pay up for the complete set — that premium comes back on the way out. If you are buying to keep, a watch missing the COSC paper is the cheapest honest entry here: same movement, same case.
5. Logo and engraving
The dial logo is a "B" with anchor and wings, and every element of it must be sharp and correctly proportioned. If the case back is transparent, look for "B01" and "COSC" engraved on the rotor with even Côtes de Genève finishing across the whole surface.
Which Reference to Choose
Best resale within the brand — Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 (฿185,000–฿230,000). It satisfies all three conditions at once: B01 movement, inside the 41–43mm band, and post-2018 design, having launched in 2022.
An everyday watch — Superocean Heritage 57 (฿165,000–฿205,000), a diver-dress watch and the Breitling that Thai wearers most often use as a daily piece.
A dress chronograph — Premier B01 Chronograph 42 (฿185,000–฿225,000). Launched in 2018, drawing on 1940s Premier design, with the B01 movement and a case size the market wants.
On a tighter budget — Endurance Pro 44 (฿95,000–฿125,000), the most accessible Breitling there is: Caliber 82 SuperQuartz in a titanium and Breitlight composite case. Being quartz, it carries no mechanical overhaul burden — and none of the in-house upside either.
Be careful with — the Navitimer Automatic 41 (฿145,000–฿185,000). It is an attractive, easy-wearing watch, but it is not a chronograph and not a B01. If you think you are buying a cheap Navitimer chronograph, you are buying a different watch.
Is a Breitling Worth Buying to Hold Value?
Plainly, no. Dealers pay sellers 65–75% of the market range, which means the moment you buy from a shop you are underwater if you have to sell it back the same day.
What Breitling genuinely delivers is specification for the money. An in-house, COSC-certified chronograph in the low two hundred thousands is a hard offer to match elsewhere in Swiss watchmaking. And if you take the right side of every dividing line on this page — B01, 41–43mm, post-2018, complete paperwork — your eventual sale lands in the least painful group the brand has.
Buy it because you want to wear a chronograph with real aviation history, not because you expect your money back.
