References outside this table — Radiomir, Luminor Due, Luminor GMT, Pre-Vendome, Early Vendome — we buy all of them, but we need photos before quoting. On those, production year and movement move the number more than they do on current production.
Why Panerai Gets Discounted Harder Than Other Brands
We are not going to pretend Panerai is easy to move in Thailand. It isn't, and you should know the real reasons before you talk to anyone.
- 60–90 days in a dealer's case — two to three times the hold on a Rolex. That carrying cost comes straight out of the buy price.
- 44–47mm cases run 4–6mm larger than the Asian wrist average — big-watch demand has been falling since 2020, so Bangkok supply outruns demand.
- The resale pool is Paneristi only — Panerai accounts for roughly 4% of the inquiry volume reaching us across 2024–2026, and those buyers usually arrive knowing the exact reference they want. A piece that isn't their reference sits.
The upside is stability. Luminor Marina PAM01392 is down only 7.6% from its 2022 peak (THB 238,000 to THB 220,000) and Submersible PAM00973 is down about 13% — far shallower than Hublot or AP over the same period. If you bought between 2018 and 2022, the gap is smaller than most sellers expect.

"Is It Genuine?" — We Answer That Before We Quote
The line Panerai sellers hear most often is some version of "we have to hold something back in case it isn't authentic." That is a discount applied without proving anything. We do it the other way round: finish the authentication, then put a number on the table.
Super-clone Luminor and Submersible pieces circulating in Asia are good enough to fool anyone who hasn't handled the real thing. What Khun Ton actually checks on site:
- Crown lock lever — the patented bridge Panerai has used since 1956. A genuine lever runs on a titanium spring with specific tension: it locks and releases with one firm click. Fakes feel either loose or gritty.
- Sandwich dial — two layers, the upper one pierced, Super-LumiNova sitting in the lower one. The depth of the piercings and the way the lume glows up through them is where fakes fail.
- OP engraving and serial on the case back — must be sharp and three-dimensional, with a serial that matches Panerai's records.
- Rotor engraving on P.9010 / P.900 / P.9100 — deep and even, and verifiable against Panerai Heritage.
- Submersible bezel — unidirectional only, 120 clicks per rotation. Plenty of fakes turn both ways or miss the click count.
Pass all five and we tell you so, then quote the full table price. If a piece fails or we can't call it either way, we decline outright. We do not invent a "risk price" well under market and put it in front of you at the kitchen table.
What Gets You the Top of the Range
- Complete accessories — Panerai ships with more in the box than most brands: outer box, warranty card, screwdriver kit, spare strap. A complete set adds 8–12%.
- In-house movement — pieces running P.9010 or P.9100 resell 12–18% better than the older ETA-based references. If you aren't sure which you have, photograph the case back and we'll tell you.
- Thai warranty card — worth around THB 10,000 over a foreign card at the Luminor Marina level, because the next owner has no service-claim friction.
- Original straps — OEM Panerai straps carry real value here. Many Paneristi keep the factory strap unworn. If you've built up a strap collection, mention it; we price it separately.

What Panerai Sellers Often Don't Know
Does a Submersible really beat a Luminor Marina? Yes. Submersible PAM00973 sits at a THB 315,000 market mid against THB 220,000 for Luminor Marina PAM01392 — about THB 95,000 apart, driven by the rotating bezel and a sportier read that Thai buyers pay for.
Is Bronze harder to sell because of patina? No. Paneristi treat patina as character, not damage. We take no deduction for naturally developed patina. Submersible Bronze PAM01070 carries a THB 485,000 market mid.
No box — how much does it cost me? The complete accessory set is worth 8–12%. Missing only the box while keeping the card puts you at the low end of that band, not below the range.
Do you take Pre-Vendome (PAM00021, PAM00056, PAM00111)? Yes. Most Bangkok dealers pass on these because they have no local buyer. We place them with overseas collectors, priced piece by piece.
Long overdue for service — does it matter? Somewhat, but we don't ask you to service a watch before selling it. We buy as-is and cost the service at what it actually runs, not as a blanket deduction.
