Structural observations:
- Nautilus 5711/1A has fallen the most — the 5811 transition pulled supply forward as sellers locked in pre-replacement prices.
- Royal Oak Jumbo 15202ST has fallen the least — constrained supply and a loyal "original Genta design" collector base.
- Royal Oak 15500ST has deep available supply in Thailand. The correction was sharper but seems to be stabilizing at a new level.
Downside Risks to Watch
Nautilus 5711/1A:
- Reference replacement risk — 5811 in white gold case/bracelet started clearing Thai pre-owned market in late 2025 at ฿4.2M–฿4.6M, very close to 5711 steel. Some collectors are pivoting to 5811, softening 5711 demand.
- Provenance scrutiny — Nautilus is heavily replicated in Southeast Asia. Serious Bangkok dealers require Patek Extract from Archives and original AD invoice. Pieces without Extract see 8–14% discount.

- 15510 as new standard — released late 2022, has absorbed buyer attention from 15500 due to 50th anniversary provenance.
- New 16500 reference — AP began testing 16500 in late 2025. Replacement risk pattern mirrors Nautilus.

- Dial gradient — genuine blue has fine gradient from center to edge. High-end fakes approximate but lack depth.
- Horizontal embossing — pattern must be crisp and uniform, equal depth across all rows.
- Caliber 26-330 S C — bridge perlage, blue screws, and Calatrava cross on rotor must all be present and correctly executed.
- Bracelet flexibility — 5711 bracelet has a specific flex pattern. Fakes are often stiff or show gaps at links.
Royal Oak 15500ST:
- Tapisserie pattern — "Grande Tapisserie" pattern on blue dial must have uniform crispness: pyramids of consistent size across all positions.
- Octagonal bezel screws — 8 screws must align (5 at the 12 position, others spaced equally).
- Caliber 4302 — new caliber generation since 2019 with free-sprung balance. Earlier 3120 uses traditional regulator.
