Overseas Chronograph 5500V/110A-B481 2,173,000 – 2,835,000
Overseas Dual Time 7900V/110A-B546 1,845,000 – 2,475,000

Fiftysix Self-Winding 4600E/000A 697,000 – 972,000

Every band above is calculated from our published June 2026 Bangkok market range: the bottom is 82% of the market low, the top is 90% of the market high, for a good-condition watch with box and Certificate of Origin.

Grand Complications and Métiers d'Art pieces (enamel, engraving, gem-setting) are not in this table. We quote those per piece through Phillips Geneva or Christie's, because their collector premium does not track the production range.

Full market ranges sit on the Vacheron Constantin brand page.

Straight Talk — Fewer Than Five Bangkok Dealers Can Buy a VC at This Level

This is the thing a VC seller should know before anything else. No more than five dealers in Bangkok hold the capital to buy VC at Overseas or Patrimony level, and that group pays 72–82% of the market range.

Three consequences follow, and none of them are in your control:

1. You have nothing to compare the first offer to. Selling a Submariner, you can walk into ten shops in an afternoon. At Overseas level there are only a handful of real buyers, and each one knows your alternatives are thin. The first number you hear tends to become the only number you hear.

2. Your watch is a large block of someone's working capital. An Overseas Chronograph ties up over THB 2 million. A dealer who takes it in has that money locked until a buyer appears, and the VC buyer in Thailand is a narrow HNW collector base with deep horology literacy — the tightest audience in the market. All of that risk is priced into the offer.

3. VC was about 1% of our inquiry volume across 2024–2026. The lowest count of any brand we cover, but the second-highest average value per piece after Patek Philippe. Most dealers see a handful of VC pieces a year, so nobody has a resale channel warmed up and waiting.

We pay 82–90% because we are not solving the same problem a shopfront is. No mall rent, no waiting for a walk-in, and we sell directly into the collector base in Thailand and Southeast Asia. The 8–10 percentage-point gap between our number and a shopfront's is cost structure we do not carry — not a shop cheating you. The arithmetic is on the dealer payout percentage page.

What Raises and Lowers a VC Buy Price

Factor Effect
Overseas complete with all three straps (steel bracelet, leather, rubber) +12–18%
Certificate of Origin from VC Boutique Bangkok (Gaysorn) Higher — it carries real weight with Thai buyers
Official service within the last five years +6–9%
Hallmark of Geneva legible on the bridge and verifiable Confirms authenticity, shortens inspection
Métiers d'Art or Limited Edition Priced per piece, usually a premium over production
No box, no papers See the no box, no papers page

The straps are real money. Every Overseas from 2016 on leaves the factory with three straps — steel bracelet, leather and rubber — swapped tool-free by the owner. That system is the main reason buyers choose an Overseas over its rivals, and a piece with all three present is worth 12–18% more than one down to a single strap. On a 4500V at a THB 2,080,000 median that is a six-figure difference. If the spare straps are in a drawer or still in the box, find them before the inspection.

The service question is really a time question. VC servicing from Bangkok routes back to Geneva: four to eight months, and roughly THB 80,000–180,000 depending on complication. That is why an example with official service inside five years carries a 6–9% premium — the next owner knows they are not paying that bill, or losing half a year, any time soon.

How to Get Paid Fastest

Step 1 — Send photos via LINE

What we need:

  • Full dial, with the Maltese Cross and hands clearly visible
  • Case back showing the movement and the Hallmark of Geneva on the bridge (caliber 5100 on Overseas Self-Winding, 5200 on Overseas Chronograph)
  • Bezel straight on, showing the six-sided form and the chamfers
  • Certificate of Origin and box
  • Every strap you have, including bracelet and deployant clasp

Step 2 — Quote within 30 minutes

Khun Pimchanok replies with a THB range and states which reference, material and set-completeness factor produced it.

Step 3 — Inspection across 12 Bangkok districts

Home, condominium or bank. The inspection covers:

  • Maltese Cross on dial, crown and rotor — sharp, three-dimensional, symmetrical across all four arms
  • The Overseas six-sided bezel — polished chamfers alternating with satin brushing, consistent on every face
  • Hallmark of Geneva on the caliber 5100 or 5200 bridge, verifiable with the Geneva Watchmaking Foundation
  • Côtes de Genève — consistent angle and depth, at hand-finished level
  • Alligator strap and buckle — VC engraving deep and crisp

Step 4 — Payment within 2 hours

Inter-bank transfer with full AML/KYC receipts and the inspection report. Almost every VC sits above the cash threshold, so transfer is the standard route.

What VC Sellers Often Don't Know

If VC is faked less than Rolex, why does the inspection take longer? Constrained demand makes VC a poor investment for counterfeiters — the Overseas super-clones in circulation are only moderate quality. But the value per piece means one mistake is expensive. The longer inspection is a function of transaction size, not suspicion about your watch.

Does the Hallmark of Geneva add to the price? Not as a line item. It is the reason VC's price floor sits where it does in the first place: VC is one of eight brands with the Hallmark of Geneva stamped on the movement bridge, the highest finishing standard in the industry. What it does in practice is settle authentication quickly, and a piece that authenticates quickly is a piece that resells quickly.

I have a Fiftysix — sell or hold? Fiftysix is VC's entry-level collection, launched 2018, with a market range of THB 850,000–1,080,000. That price point reaches a far wider pool of buyers than anything else in the table, so it moves more easily. The trade-off is a narrow range and correspondingly little negotiating room.

Is the Historiques American 1921 really that stable? Yes. The cushion-case piece inspired by a 1921 reference is among the most price-stable references in the table. If you are not under pressure to raise cash, this is the one where waiting does not cost you.

Dealer sale or consignment? For VC this question is heavier than for other brands, because the narrow buyer base means consignment can run for months. The full comparison is on the dealer vs consignment page.

The watch was inherited — what do I need? VC turns up in estates more often than its market share suggests, because it was a watch the previous generation bought to keep. The paperwork sequence is on the inherited watch page.
